If I were you I'd go to the nearest community college (a lot of universities have these "sister schools")
get really good grades there, until you have your associate's degree, then try again to get accepted.
you can also retake your ACT or your SAT to get a better score.
good luck!

Others have already said try elsewhere. Ditto.

In the alternative, forget about school, try to get full time work and see if you like it.

Then reassess the situation, and try again. There are plenty of options. Some schools are open-admissions and allow anyone with a high school diploma (or equivalent) to prove themselves. If you do well, you may be able to move to a better school after doing some of the basic course work at the less competitive school. Also consider that it is easier to shine (and get A's) at schools with lower admissions requirements because there is a larger number of "average" students. The professors may be less demanding and more understanding too. After all, they did not get jobs at the best universieties either. There is a reason why they are there (rather then some place else) just as this is true of students. The universities with the less exacting admissions standards are often cheaper too.

Community Colleges are another option. They may be a really good deal assuming all the credits transfer and can be applied toward a four-year college degree after acceptance at the institution from which you will end up getting your bachelor's degree.

Relax....calm down. There are many good, outstanding colleges and universities out there. So you didn't get into your first choice - the world isn't going to end. Apply to another one - actually, you should have applied to several initially. And if your grades were the problem, go to a community college for a semester, take your required courses there and reapply. And, at least you'll have the core requirements out of the way when you try again.
Good luck!!!

You must have applied to different universities. If this was your first choice that you didn't get into, that is always very difficult to handle. But you can't let that get you down for long. Wait for the other letters from other universities you applied to and see if you got into one of those. Things will work out eventually.

Go to a community college and work hard to improve your grades, then re-apply. Have you tried other universities?
