Witchcraft, or Wicca as it is more commonly known today, is a religion and it works for those who follow it. It is not as TV and Hollywood would have you believe there are no flashes of light and smoke and you instantly get your wishes granted. But there is peace of mind.

Yes, and it did for a little while. I think it was more the power of suggestion than anything else, but it was kind of freaky at the time. A group of us in High School wanted to go to a restaurant, we had no car, it was way after curfew, and we would have to walk. A young lady in the group said she was Wicca and could cast a spell on us that would make the authorities not see us. Of course we said, Cool! and went for it. The spell itself was a little strange, things happened during the casting that, for lack of a better term, were magic. But we took off walking down Main street the two miles to the restaurant. Three police cars passed us (we were all long hairs in a very redneck town) but never stopped us. When we were about a block away she said, the spell is slipping and sure enough, a cop came around the corner and stopped us. He ended up just giving us a verbal warning and we went on to the restaurant.

Though your using a Very vauge term I think most people understand your asking about Magic. Effectively it is slightly more effective than prayer.

It is a great deal based on visulization, but more so on concepts of energy how to use it / notice it. The basic fact is this : everything is Energy in on state or another and Everything is connected. If one can find the patterns in the energy you wish to manipulate you can make them do many things. But alas, too often are we blind to the energy or we are told the energy has never been ours and we must slave away sending it to some outside force like "GOD" or "ALLAH" or any of a million other "gods". So in short. Yes. Yes. and By The powers that be, if your gonna use it..... Realize your screwing with the eqivalent of a couple of nukes, the aids virus, and a metor large enough to kill us all.

I've danced to the song "witch craft' at a wedding once. It sure worked for me that night! The Wicca thing seems to be the real deal, I've known more than a few, and for some reason more practitioners keep entering along my path. I don't indulge myself in magic, but then I don't need to; do I. I'm just there.....oh it's good to be alive!

I practice Wicca & most of what I do deals with healing & the forces of nature. My spells always seem to work just fine. There are some basic rules that you need to remember when you do any type of spell/ritual. These aren't all of the rules I follow, but unlike others, I refuse to do love spells.

1) The rule of 3 (also called karma); whatever you do will come back to you times 3.
2) Your most important tool in regards to any spell you do is your will. You have to WANT whatever it is you are trying to accomplish.
3) Do not use your power for vengeance or harm.

By the way, when you use a ritual, your power is amplified.

Witchcraft is not Charmed or Bewitched like you see on television. It is a much maligned religion, older than Christianity. Many of the rites and holidays are based on Wiccan beliefs. It is not Hocus Pocus. It is a religion. Asking if it works is like asking a person with other beliefs if prayer works. The answer is YES it does.

I agree with Linda-she ia absolutely right.I do withcraft and for all of those people out there who think withcraft is a load of crap-you are absolutely wrong! I am a wiccan and I do practices if you will.All of my spells work.You can't just watch a tv show and say you are a witch-that's not how it is.It takes a few years of practice to be a real wiccan.Good luck to you.

Witchcraft is a way of using props and words to remove the ingrained belief that the paranormal simply cannot exist. As such, it is actually limiting to our consciousnesses, but yes, it is very real.

As for my dealings, they are more along the lines of energy manipulation, and yes, they work very well.
