I blew two in five weeks!! I had a 1997 Buick Century. I was lucky enough to get a rebuilt engine, and the total bill to have it fixed was $1300. The engine itself was $500.
Good luck!!

What do you mean "completely blown". If it's just the head gasket (which blows quite frequently) it shouldn't cost more than half a grand.
The car is kind of crappy, so depending on whether your engine itself really did blow up, the shop might either pull another one from the junk yard, try to rebuild yours, or order another factory rebuild. Either way, make sure its not a headgasket, those don't cost much to replace, just a bit of labor.

Labor at a dealer is now close to $100 p/hr. The engine could cost $1500 and then there's the fuel injection that could be another $1500 plus another $1500 for mechanics work! Buy another car!

You're probably better off buying a new car considering it's a Ford Aspire.

However much it costs to buy a new car. Don't bother in a car like that; you might as well buy another car.
