why isnt it the other way around- why dont they just follow the public?! who gave celebrities so much power??

We gave them the power is true. We want so much to be like them that we would follow them to any depth to be like them. If we cant be them why not be like them then. And they dont even know who we are we are not in the lime light.

Who gave them so much power- we did. And they don't actually chose their own clothes, they have stylists for that. You can tell when a celebrity dressed themselves, because that's when they get on the "worst dressed" list.

I think that fashion designers choose what's in style actually, and they just use famous people as mannequins for extra exposure. And fashion designers are inspired by different people and cultures and time periods.
Celebrities are pawns for other people/companies to make money off of.

why don't you start the trend..and we gave celebrities the power by always following their clothing taste. Let us all become leaders not followers :)

I certainly don't follow what they say is "in style". I think it looks like crap. (But it's true, we gave them the power and we need to take it back somehow.)

b'coz they have lots of money, so that they can buy any clothes they want - anything they want which is fit for them.
and they always look magnificent wearing anything, so that we copy them.
who gave celeb so much power? of course it's us, the public who love them.

Actually, their stylists are the one's doing it. I doubt that most people even if they are famous would know how to dress themselves up on a daily basis.

i do no longer think of that there is one specific form thats in. as long as you have a shade that suits your complexion and look and you have a great decrease that frames your face properly, you're in. perhaps attempt highlighting or changing the colour of your hair.
