If someone slaps you, how do you react? You can rub your cheek and ask them not to do that again. But what if they slap you again? And everytime you ask them to stop they continue to slap you. Everyone else stands around and watches tsk-tsk'ing or rooting on the slapper or you. Eventually you are going to get tired of being slapped and have to slap back. It may escalate into a fist fight, weapons may be pulled and used, some of the people standing around may even get hurt, but one way or another, you won't get slapped anymore.

No, Israel is NOT right because:
1-It is over-acting. Negotiations were better and possible.
2-Israel is occupying part of the Lebanese land, called "Shebaa farms". Moreover, Israel is still holding more than 9,000 Arab captives and prisoners. Thus, Hizbullah had and has the right to resist this occupation and to strive to get back its prisoners.
3-Even if Israel is trying to get back its soldiers, so why is it destroying Lebanese infrastructure and killing civilian Lebanese people while its top-notch technology can allow it to direct its attacks only at Hizbullah's people and buildings?!
4-Israel is using world-banned weapons and ammunition against Lebanon now. A country that does so in any military engagement is a reckless country.
5-And to all these who say that they have never heard about some Israeli guys who go to Lebanese or Palestinian markets and explode themselves to kill innocent civilians - To them I say: Well, killing civilians is not right or acceptable at all. But what about occupying other people's land? Were the "founding fathers" of the USA terrorists when they were attacking the British troops that were occupying the US lands?!

I know most people on Yahoo! (especially Americans) are more Israeli than the Israelis themselves, but I must express my opinion to let the world know to what extent the zionist international media is cheating and blinding them.

The only way to deal with a bully is to respond with force. The Islamofascists have stated their goal is to eliminate Israel. What choice does Israel have except to respond in force?

Note it is NOT a war on Lebanon. It is a war on Hezbollah, who is operating from Lebanon against Israel (actually via support from Iran and Syria). One could argue that if the Lebanese people wanted to live in peace with their neighbors, that they would (should?) purge the murderers from their own midst.
