you need to copyright your lyrics before you publish them, otherwise an established songwriter/agent could possibly steal them and you would get nothing for your hard work. depending on what genre you are writing for there are several good places to advertise,most music mags have ads for poets/songwriters and you might want to check places like craigslist.com Good Luck, and don't forget about us little people when your a big time songwriter receiving your grammy award. lol
