This is probably because of your video card. If you have high-demand video games, they will require more power to output better images. With this requirement, your once stable computer will have too much power being pulled from the power supply and will shut down. About the only way to fix this is to upgrade your power supply. Try looking for a new one on www.newegg.com

Playing games cannot cause any power failures. There might be others resons such as over heating or high temperature in your PC environment. Try to put an Air conditioner or a fan near CPU. That might help you.
Or your game may also have virus in it. check whether failure occurs when you play a particular game alone. Then that may be a problem.
If not you may really have a low voltage problem or some loose connection in power circuits.

will this problem come from various reasons you seek them if you find one try to deal with it:
1) the games you are playing is driect to the internet through a modem ( you play on the internet through a modem ) so may be the modem be the problem . ( try another modem ) .
2) These games may be contains a virus . some virus do this espcially when your computer is ( compatiable ) . ( make an ubdate to your antivirus and check them ) .
3) If you have an pretty old motherboard ( 2 years old or 1.5 year ) it could cause these problems.
4) The powersupply unit ( check it out ) . replace the powersupply with any other one you know for sure it is working and try out ) .
5) If this all doesn't help so you try the last one ( reinstall windows )
I hope that i did something for you
good bye

Heat and Power are the 2 biggest problems, If you dont have a really good CPU cooler that is what I would do first, Next look at your video card is that overheating ?, then finally you may not have enough power if your power supply isnt 400 to 550 watts, Doing these upgrades will make your system last much longer and work troublefree

It could be from heat. A quick way to check is to open up the side cover and touch the side of the big heat-sink over the processor in the middle of your motherboard when it happens. If it is more than a little warm (hot to the touch) you need to cool it somehow. You can leave the cover off and set up a regular house fan to blow on it for a temporary fix. Use cooling accessories for a more permanent solution. Here is a page with lots of different ones...

Your video card may not be updated with drivers or simply not enough performance to handle the games you are playing. I would suggest updating your drivers, and looking to see what the specs are on your video card and memory and for the games you enjoy playing. You may have to upgrade your video card to play the games or turn off your instant messengers, additional programs while playing if your memory is the issue. Or upgrade your memory to keep up with the demands of gaming!

Poor quality parts, your computer does not meet minimum requirements, excessive heat, not enough power, unstable computer
the unstable computer is probably the one
download a program called
Prime95
then use it
let it run for an entire day (it will push ur computer to the limits)
if your computer restarts or the program detects an error
then your computer is unstable
contact ur manufacture (if you didn't build it urself)

This is a stretch but it could be the power supply.
Go get a new one. The cost about $25-30 for a good one.
