when i minimize messenger and instant message screen to task bar messenger will close and i have to reopen messenger again

which messenger are you talking of?
When you simply minimize the messenger (yahoo or msn) then they will minimize into your taskbar....when you close them without signing out then they come in your right hand corner where the clock lies.....
if your using any other messenger then look into its options ...your likely to find the solution in settings....

after you sign in, click the minimize tab at the top of the messenger box--you will stay signed in but the list will be off your screen--when you want it back, click the bottem of your screen where the icon or the tab is

Take your computer to the nearest cliff,and toss er off.And never worry about task manager again.Anymore questions?

Go to preferences,I think under general & check the appropriate box.
