Best place to check would with with the Labor Board for your State and see what regulations are for your state. As bad as it sounds, it may be legal.

I live in Indiana and the JobWorks counselor was advised by the Labor Board for our state after a worker on an assembly line working 12 hr shift with no breaks and could not even go to the bathroom without getting someone to cover for her and was shocked with they said it is perfectly legal. Most employers do allow their employees a lunch break and some may offer breaks because it improves employee performance, but it is not manditory.

On the Federal Labor Law website (link below) it indicates that lunches and breaks ARE NOT MANDITORY.

Best to look for another employer who will better value their employees.

legally a break should be given 15 mins every 4 hours
can she not take her break in her car? drive to a park, so she is not in the building?
what would happen if she had no car? pretend its broken, but park soewhere else - then they would have to help
