I own the "first" Beatles album, called 'Introducing...THE BEATLES'. This album is quite controversial. Give me three different obvious things to look for on this album to know it's counterfeit.

1. Covers with a brown border around the front cover photo are fakes.
2. Covers with a bright yellow tint and the word "STEREO" printed in black at the upper left are fakes.
3. Covers without George Harrison's shadow-visible to his right of where he stands, near the edge are fakes.

1 is a compilation album by The Beatles, released on 13 November 2000. The album features virtually every number-one single released in the United Kingdom and United States from 1962 to 1970 by The Beatles. Issued on the 30th anniversary of the band's break-up, it was their first compilation available on one Compact Disc. 1 was a commercial success, and topped the charts worldwide. The world's best-selling album of the 21st century, 1 has sold over 31 million copies. This will show them how good The Beatles were. Then, your choice, select one of your favorite albums, such as (my favorite) Abbey Road. After that i feel pretty sure they will be hooked on The Beatles.

That was only the first release in North America the first album they put out after two singles with 2 per side was either long tall sally or twist and shout
The label should have a rainbow like design on the outer part of the album and it should be thicker then later records

Unless you got it in 1963, it's probably counterfeit. The source website shows the 'real' cover.

I bought a counterfeit one at a 'Jamesway' store in the middle 70s. The cover art is surrounded with a brown border not evident on the original.

Vinyl was infinitely more plastic-like.

It's probably mono, not stereophonic.

The cover will look like you could peel-off parts likes chips of paint.

If you have these three; it's NOT counterfeit
