I know this may sound gross, but I have a friend who is currently staying at my house that doesnt shower until two days after or more. She doesnt smell or anything, but I find it a bit inappropriate.

I think most people around the world would tell you that Americans have a strange obsession with hygiene. Showering every second day is not bad for people. Quite the contrary, constant bathing strips the skin of it's natural oils. Skin oils are necessary to retain the skin's water.
I can't cite statistics, but I believe that more than half of the world's population bathes once a week, or less.

No. everyone should bathe daily - even if you are in circumstances where you can't take a full bath or shower (like camping, or being held hostage), you should be able to have a sponge bath. You need to say something to your friend.

Sure if you are out in the jungle and aren't going to be rescued anytime soon.
Washing the skin too much can reduce the amounts of beneficial bacteria leaving the skin open to infection.
Otherwise it is too hot and you'd smell to much....so bathe.

ok so if they have a shower, then they should use it, that way they wont haft to deal w/ smelling n' ****. but like if they dont have a shower to shower in, then its ok to take a shower every 2 days. just as long as know else knows.

Well, maybe she might not smell, until she open her legs.. Gross, everyone should bath at list once a day.

well i was in a remote area and i hadnt had a shower in 15 days..then we bathed in a river and a huge bear came over attracted by the soap scent....not goodd......otherwise. every day.or twice a day .unless your wife is a bear

That is kinda gross. I have a guy friend like that. I personally find it unhealthy. Especially for girls. Maybe she does a splash and go...if not ewww.

She needs to shower or bathe daily. It's good hygiene.

if she does'nt do anything to get nasty then sure why not...its when u start to notice an odor toworry. lol. Maybe she gets cleaned up in the sink instead of a shower.
