Strange, but it's a word that many use and I believe few understand.

Basically it means to be honest with yourself and others around you. Also, you have adhere to a strict and moral code. You're quite correct in today's age there are a few people who understand the word.

I certainly agree that few understand. Sadly, I agree.

Integrity means living by the moral standards you have set for yourself. It means being honest with yourself and others. It means standing up for what is right and moral even when it is inconvenient to do so. It means looking in the mirror and knowing you have done the right thing. It means having self-respect because you know you are doing the right thing.

It means you are an honest and truthful person, the kind most people would be proud to call "friend", and most parents would burst with pride to have you as their child.

For me integrity means doing what you say you will and saying what you will do. Few politicians have integrity because just the opposite is true.

A person of integrity is endowed with conviction, conscience, concern; who is learned, with aroused persistence, unmuddled mndfulness and good discernment.

He / she wills neither for his own affliction, nor for the affliction of others, or both.

A person of integrity refrains from lying, devisive tale-bearing, harsh speech and idle chatter.

He / she refrains from misconduct and engages in activities that cause no harm. He / she engages in activities that have benefit or merit to all involved.

Being true to your word & values.
Being honest, ethical & having sound morals.

It means that your core values are used in ALL situations whether convenient to you or not. Particularly not. If it costs to be honest, do you cheat?
It does cost, and many are honest.
