There is no significant ionizing radiation (x rays) emitted from a computer monitor. The nonionizing radiation or electromagnetic radiation does not represent a reproductive risk either. There are many studies that indicate that neither birth defects nor miscarriage is associated with working at a computer. Probably sitting at the computer (ergonomics) for long periods may be uncomfortable, especially when you are pregnant. You ought to have someone who is an expert with computer monitors tell you how you should position yourself at your workstation. He or she may be able to give you some advice. But don't be concerned about the radiations from the computer. Remember, every pregnant woman has a background risk for birth defects (3%) and miscarriage (15%). No one can change that.

Having the computer next to your belly.
Good question.
I am sure there is some electromagnetic radiation.
To be save, try to learn to use your computer while sitting at a table or desk.
Problem solved.
Reading out loud in a soothing voice while on the computer might stimulate the growth and juices of the baby.

An additional concern about body exposure to any electromagnetic radiation, from computers and cell phones held next to the body. Cell phones emit radiation whether they are in talk or standby mode as they constantly search for a transmitter. Everyone should always use a headset rather than putting a cell phone next to your brain. Children should never use cell phones without a headset. Don't keep cell phones in a pants pocket near reproductive organs or in a shirt or jacket pocket next to your heart. A review of all cell phone studies to date revealed that nine published studies have examined the association between cell phones and brain or eye tumors. All nine showed an enhanced cancer risk from cell phones with increasing risk for longer duration of phone use (Kundi, 2004).
Computers similarly emit electromagnetic radiation. My advice is to keep them off your lap.

No it does not hurt the baby and if it did it would be on the news and your doctor will even tell you what to stay away from while pregnant.
It seems like you have yet to even seen an OB doctor for care for you and your baby. You need to do that like tomorrow make an appointment with OB doctor and all questions you have ask the doctor. OK

The main thing about constant computer use is that it usually equates to a lack of physical exercise. Just be balanced.
