Heard of him, yes. While I wasn't alive when he was doing his thing I have had to study him extensively in school. People like him SHOULD scare you but he isn't the worst. There are many out there today just as bad, if not worse, both in prison and out right now. Bundy was a charming man with good looks and a winning personality. He looked like Joe College which is what made him extra dangerous. Go read Ann Rules book "The Stranger Beside Me', it's about him. The worst of what Bundy did wasn't ever on TV or in most books because it was too 'gross' for mass consumption. These 'creatures' are everywhere, there were many before him and many since. They don't glow in the dark or look like the rabid beast they are, that is what makes them so dangerous. Look at the BTK killer, he looked like any other middle aged man but what he did was horrific. Same with the Green River Killer, Joel Rifkin, Albert Fish, John Wayne Gacy and many others. At any given time there are many of these animals operating in the US, upwards to 100 by FBI reports. The world is better off without Bundy in it but more horrific ones come along and take their place.

Yes, I have heard of him. He was electrocuted for the murder of the girl he abducted from the town where I grew up - Kimberly Leach. My brother went to the school where she was abducted by Bundy... that building is now the School System Admin Building. When he was killed, it was a huge deal in my town.

I was never scared of him, particularly because he was on death row. I've never been scared of any particular killer... even when more serial killers like Danny Rolling showed up near where I lived and in places I spent a lot of time.

I was always taught to be very cautious, though, and I've been scared before when walking alone at night or when I've been in a secluded place. I stay attentive and I try not to put myself in danger any more than I have to.

So, I've not thought, "Ted Bundy is going to get me," or "Danny Rolling is going to kill me," no - but I have been scared that *someone* could.

At the link, there's all kinds of info about crimes, and a huge database of stories about serial killers. Pretty much any high profile murder you can think of is there.

I have heard of him I read a book about him even. I wasn't scared at all. Ted Bundy and all others like him pray on women by manipulation. He was always described as very nice and sweet. I think we should all learn to protect ourselves. I am not saying you can always prevent a crime but it doesn't hurt to remain somewhat on alert and question situations.

I did a report on him when I was younger and just reading up on him, really scared the living crap out of me!!
He was supposedly such a nice man and good looking. Someone you would never think could be a monster.
