If you are considering the suffering and death of the victim as "horror", you could be right in categorization and I would consider Passion of the Christ is a better movie because Christ's suffering, death , and later resurrection saves mankind from an eternity of Hell. His death has allowed all people the choice of an eternity in Hell or Heaven.
