My eureka bagless is only a year old. It sounds like anything electronic .....but at max speed times 10. it is so loud i cant stand to even turn it on. I just changed the belt thinking that would fix it. Nope. So could something be lodged in the motor to make it not operate like it should? like something is spinning at max power, but the rest of the machine is sitting still.

There's no such thing as a vaccum. I think you mean vacuum.

It sounds like something is caught in the fan (impeller) or the brush. Then again it could be in the hose. It is probably a piece of paper or string of hair or even lint. I would start by cleaning the brushes and bearings, then the hoses and tubes then finally check the fans. That's how I clean out a VACUUM.

When you changed the belt did you check the roller brush?? It could have an excess amount of hair & string around it. If it is clean, try checking the hose that is used for other cleaning. Check hose, and where the hose goes into the sweeper, sometimes it gets clogged and will make the motor run harder and faster.

then you should check your filters and make sure that you empty out your hose this usually clears the problem and make sure that the brush bar doesnt have any hair stuck to it and stuck somewhere else
