I have a laptop don't use it alot though.

I do. Laptops rule. Why would anyone use a desktop unless they just can't afford more than $500 or want to stick a dozen cards into their machine and suck down 1000W. Unless of course it is a mini desktop like a Mac Mini - those rock too.
