Yes.
A “Witch” - as the word is commonly used - is a practitioner of a nature-based/revering or folk belief system. Not all Witches follow the same belief system. Some forms of witchcraft have roots in Pagan pre-monotheistic folkways and beliefs. There are also family groups or traditions that trace their practices and beliefs within the same close group throughout several generations. Some Witches practice a form of Witchcraft that incorporates a religious beliefs system, while others simply practice witchcraft as a magical art in addition to other religious beliefs or practices they may have.

This is not lore, There are witches in our society, both good and not so good. It is a practiced religion...Wicca. Look it up and read what its about. Too many people are stereotyped by name, before you get the facts. The very word..witch, sends a message of fear, and why should it? Ignorance is dangerous. Remember that.

Yes, there are many witches out there and they aren't just Wiccan. There are many who don't ascribe to any one religion. I am what is called an eclectic witch; I feel that many paths can be used and most that work for me, come from my family background, which is varied.

I guess being Wicca myself that makes me a pagan with props (note the sarcasm in reference to an earlier answer). But seriously, I do believe and I do practice. Wicca is one of the oldest religions, pre-dating christianity. Those who don't understand or even try to understand fear things that are different. That is were all the misconceptions come from. As for myself, I try not to let such ridiculous answers bother me but I am only human. Blessed be!

In order to believe in anything you have to know they exist.

I know witches exist. They practice an earth based religion.
This exists in many cultures around the world.
