Absolutely. In college I was dating a girl who, as it turns out, was a vampire.

It took me several months to come to this realization for I was fixated on her limitless beauty and infinite wisdom.

Her skin was as pale as the flesh of a lychee glowing in the moonlight for she refused to be seen by daylight.

She took classes in the evening and slept by day. The only times I saw her outdoors in the dawn were when it was raining. She loved the rain. She had a large collection of trench coats and umbrellas. Under her coat she wore the most lovely skirts. I always got a kick out of seeing her wear a skirt with boots. (not literally)

I loved her. When she was ill I would tend to her. When she was sad I would comfort her. The realization that she was a vampire momentarily stopped my heart as I was overcome by respect and fear.

In the end, I decided to break it off. I don't think that I am cut out to be a vampire. Perhaps I had the opportunity but I have yet to regret my decision.

Yes, but not in the whole imortality aspect of it. The reason why i belive in it is because almost every civilitation has their own version of a vampire story. You have vampires in celtic, greek, african, oriental, slovic, native american, mayan, ect. mytholgy. And they all have similar caracteristics, There are even manelvolent vampires like the stregoni benific. I dont realy think that they are supernatural but i think that the myth could have started from certine desises. I knew this guy that had porphyria. He got it from his mom and he took medicine because his body didn't make enough heme. i would joke with him, calling him dracula because the medicine he took had, basicaly, the same stuff in it as blood. He would get sun burns easly and that may have been where the whole sun myth comes from. Certain forms of porphyria are also associated with neurological symptoms, which can create psychiatric disorders. However, the hypotheses that porphyria sufferers crave the heme in human blood, or that the consumption of blood might ease the symptoms of porphyria, are based on a severe misunderstanding of the disease. There is no real evidence to suggest that porphyria had anything to do with the development of the original folklore, as the hypothesis is mainly based off the characteristics of the modern vampire in any case. And in case your wondering, my friend didn't drink people's blood or anything like that, in fact he was realy skremish, and he wasn't pale, he all ways had a tan. Last time i talked with him he was teaching physics at a highschool.

I don't believe in vampires in the folklore sense, but there was a study done about vampire communities here in the states a few years back. They found where in these communities, people just like you and me gathered for blood letting and general coming together of the culture. To some it was a sexual fetish, to others it was a way of life for them. Something they believe deeply in and probably they work right beside someone here in the banks, corporate office buildings, etc.

I believe in emotional vampires. They can drain you out of energy. They are all around.

I also believe in people who kill because they think they need blood. They think that they are vampires.

Some people are into vampire roleplaying, which can be sexual. If it is sexual they take some of each others blood to lick it or suck it.

And last but not least there are bats who suck blood of other animals. They are called vampire bats.

I believe in all those vampires :)

Of course. For some of us, vampires are simply a fact of life. There are energy vampires, blood vampires, and demonic vampires (although they don't physically transform, nor are they immortal). For some of us, vampires are just a fact of life.

Yes, but they are not like what you find in literature or movies. The vampires you'd typically come across are more of psychic vampires.

Vampires. People who drink blood in religious ceremonies? Sure.

Vampires. Who sleep in coffins and have lived for centuries and drink human blood through fangs? They materialize at any space or time around the world, and avoid sunlight because they'll disintegrate? No.
