I went to get on birth control and the doctor found a little "surprise" I don't believe in abortion, I'm keeping it.

So here I am in July 6 months prego and let me tell you it's a very special feeling this is my first pregnancy and the first time i felt him move i was so excited it's a very special feeling. It's not weird but then again everyone is diff. So let me tell you I have not got many shots. I only got one set of blood work done and other lab test with no shots and that's it I'm not sure if there is more blood work to be done or what but GOOD LUCK and GOD BLESS!!

Most examinations consist of:
Pee in a cup for a urine check
Measure the belly
Listen for a heartbeat
Get your questions answered

Pelvic exams are rare, unless you want to know if you're starting to dilate close to (or after) your due date.

There are routine tests that get done to screen for problems. If the screening test is abnormal, then you may have to get further studies done. Not a lot of shots, just a blood draw or two.

You won't feel much (other than a hard lump - your uterus) for the first half of your pregnancy. Then you can feel the little guy/gal moving around, getting hiccups, shoving a foot under your ribs, head-butting your bladder, etc. It's actually really cool.

Go find some books and read up on pregnancy. Then try to enjoy it.

Good luck with the baby.

There arent a lot of shots..unless you are RH negative you dont usually get any shots during pregnancy....At your first visit or so they will take a whole lot of blood though and perhaps do a pelvic exam and a breast exam..but since you were just there they might bypass those..you will get your prescrition for vitamins, you may have an early sonogram to check dates and make your next appointment about 4 weeks or so later. It feels amazing to have the baby growing inside..especially when it starts kicking and you can feel the baby moving around...there are a lot of discomforts but you learn to live with them and the anticipation of the baby more than makes up for it...lets put it this way I am not a happy pregnant person I am not one of these women who get to work up until the day they give birth feeling wonderful....I am miserable almost the whole time...and yet look at how many little ones I have...LOL..they make it all worth it.

lots of test yes, but all in good reason you want to make sure your baby is healthy. you wont mind it, your baby is all you should care about! it growing inside is the most wonderful thing, to feel the first kick . its the most joyfullest thing anyone could experience. you should feel honored. and I'm glad you are keeping the baby and you also need to take care of you no smoking and drinking and eat right no caffeine . Congratulations MOM and good luck and have a happy pregnancy May God Bless

there are not a lot of shots! you will need to have a few blood draws though. what does a baby growing feel like... at first it just looks like you're getting fat. it really doesn't "feel" any sort of way until the baby starts to kick... the first "kicking" feelings are just flutters... but as pregnancy continues the kicking is sometimes painful... and i remember that my son would run a bony knee or elbow across my stomach and you could see it from the outside of my shirt.

Please remember one thing. TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY WHILE YOU ARE CARRYING THIS LITTLE ONE. I just lost my precious angel almost two weeks ago. I was barely pregnant and didn't get to experience the baby moving around inside. Enjoy it. I know I was looking forward to that part.
Congratulations MOMMY!!!!!!!!

what about adoption? there are tons of really nice and loving couples who can't have babies of their own.

are you married? if not, it's selfish to keep a baby when it's not going to have a healthy loving 2 parent family

well you get a pelvic exam i think twice...you get blood drawn, you get to do a "sugar" test to test your glyclose or whatever, you get vaginal ultra sound, and a belly ultrasound...
