the second one takes more time because it has to travel parabolic where as the first one has to travel a less distance

Yes they take the same time to get to the ground as the both rocks experience the same force of gravitation.
As the horizontal components do not account for the vertical motion.
Even if you give the velocity in horizontal directoin the rock's vertical motion is not altered and both will have the same gravitational force i.e., 'g'.
So considering the above views, both the rocks reach the ground in same time.

Yes. They would reach ground at the same time.
Only if there is a difference in the density or/and the surface area of two objects, then they will reach ground at different times.
For eg. if density is different, a cotton lump of the same size as a rock, then the two objects will reach ground at different times.
If for eg. the surface area is different, a rock with a surface area of at least ten times more, then both these rocks would reach ground at different times.

Yes, they would except for air resistance. I have seen a demonstration with two balls where one was dropped and the other was fired toward the first one at the same time by a spring mechanism. The two hit in mid-air!
