I think you need hardware instead of software. Get a new wi-fi card and install it. If you are using windows xp proffessional, you do not need any software to make it wireless.

I just "love" Dell's website. I FINALLY found the inspiration 6000 page and, from what little I could garner from their site. The 6000 does NOT come with wireless capability UNLESS you requested it when you bought it.
Therefore you'll need a wireless card or a USB wireless adapter. However, as stated by another, you won't need any software (other than what comes with the adapters) to use wirless.

i have one just like yours and i use D-link or you can use the built in wireless chip but for extra reach and better connection it would do you good to get an d-link adapter. Or you can go to www.dell.com and go under support than click drivers and downloads, it will ask you for your service tag number, just flip over your lap top and look on the long white tag near the battery charger and give it your service tag number and it will show you the downloadable things.

simply visit your fave computer shop and ask for a wireless network card (WiFi card 802.11 b/g); it's a hardware or small device/chip where you can attach into your laptop if ever it has a slot. or if it doesn't had one, then you can ask for a wireless card with USB adapter.
