Me and my husband work opposite shifts and I want to do something special for him because we dont see much of eachother!
Question being: I need some ideas on something sweet to do for him.. (besides cook, I do that all the time) Any reasonable Ideas would be great! I am a mother of 3 so its hard to go on a vacation alone..I want to do something nice for him just to show him I appreciate him!

I completely understand you situation. My wife and I do not get as much time as we would like either....especially with our one child. What to do, hmmmm....
Sometimes an old fashion note is the greatest thing that one could see after a long day. This is something that we should do more often as well. example: "Just a note to remind you how wonderful you are and how you make my life so beautiful, thank you." etc...etc...
The best I can say is that, as for myself... lovely words, a back rub, attention are more important than any physical gift... but, physical gifts could be better if a note is tagged to it!!
If he likes fishing...( a new pole? ) Maybe the note would say something funny like; "you've already caught the best one, ha ha!) finally, anything to make one feel younger is always a bonus too...ie...favorite ice cream, etc.

Imagine your love coming home from a long day at work to find your home transformed into an inviting Eastern encounter for two. As they look around they'll find you sitting there in your kimono, puring a cup of sake, waiting to tend to their every need. The perfect enounter? I think so!

* Stir fry and a wok, or Chinese takeout, chop sticks.
* Pillows, with an oriental pattern.
* Soft oriental rug.
* Flowers, such as lotus blossoms, white lillies and orchids, and maybe a bonzai tree.
* Jasmine incense or some other oriental scent.
* Chinese lanterns.
* Oriental music.
* Sake or chinese tea.
* Chinese massage oils and bath salts.
* Kimonos or robes.
While your love is at work, re-arrange the furniture in the room so that you have a lot of floor space. Lay out the rug, pillows, and flowers on the floor in a comfortable, romantic pattern. Light the candles, lanterns and incense and place them in safe areas.
Dress yourself in a comfortable Chinese kimono or robe, and have some appropriate clothing laid out for your love. Just before you expect them to be home, lay out the sake, or hot chinese herbal tea and run them a hot bath. Use plenty of bath salts to create a nice relaxing aroma, and put on some soft oriental music. Soft lighting is also very important in setting the perfect mood.
When they arrive, be waiting for them, drinking a cup of sake or tea. Greet them with a bow and gently remove their shoes and heavy clothing. Seat them on a comfortable pillow and give them a cup of sake. Next, lead them to the bathroom, undress and bathe them. When you are done, leave them to soak and relax in the bath tub while you set up the food.
This could be an incredible experience for both of you. And what better way to show them how much you love and appreciate them than with a night of Eastern pampering?

As a mother of 3 I understand. My huband and I usually let the kids go to gma's and light candles and play soft music and take a bath together. Just getting rid of the kids and connecting really helps. Also, instead of sitting in the recliners try both of you sitting on the couch. Silly, huh? It works. You ae closer physically so you can talk and share.

Hard to say without knowing him. Give him the things he likes best. A warm shower, a cold beer, a long massage, and a hot woman (you). Then a baseball game on T.V., his favorite dessert, and an early trip to bed. A night like that, but substituted with his favorites.

oh yeah that sounds rellay kool. well the best thing u can do is go buy some sexy lingere and suprise him when he comes to bed. thats a big turn on and sexy. that also show him u do appreciate him. make it really sexy and he will be so happy. i had that happen to me before it was hot. she asked the victoria secrets people what they recommended and they did a god job. so yeah thats what i think u should do. make it a night of hot sex. to bad cant get away be even hotter.good luck

Put a note in his car at work to meet you at the nearest hotel/motel after he gets off... where you will have a room waiting.. maybe give him a massage. I surprised my husband with this and he loved it! Whats more.. you don't have to spend the night so you can get back to your kids!!

you do make dinners for him all the time, why not make the ambiance more romantic...scented candles over the table; special dish (his favorites) and you dressed up for the occassion...treat his dinner en grande!

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT SHIFTS YOU WORK, BUT I WOULD SUGGEST IF YOU WORK A NIGHT SHIFT AND HE WORKS A DAY SHIFT...TRY TAKING HIM SOME LUNCH OR SOMETHING...
