there are also a FIFA Women's World Cup being held every 4 years since the first tournament back in 1991. at the moment, 16 teams will play in the finals & the format is the same whereby the top two teams from each group qualify to the quarter-finals.
past FIFA Women's World Cup final & 3rd place match results:
1991 - China PR
final - United States 2 - 1 Norway
3rd place - Sweden 4 - 0 Germany

Yes their is it am started in 1991 the united states where the first world champioen with the women
during the following world cup that was hold in sweden norway was the best team in 1999 was the tournement hold in the states and the USA won their second titlle in 2003 Germany was the winning team agian in united states normaly the cup was hol in china than bud it was removed for some disaster that happend in

I don't like the tone of your question and have decided to just forgive you for the mocking and mean treatment of Vietnam Vets. I lived for three years in a bamboo cage on my knees. I was eventually released by a sweep that was done by the military. I am now permanently disabled and I used to be fabuloous ball room dancer. Ahh those days are all over. yes there is...its held every 4 years just like the men's version...but the women's world cup is the year after the men's....so in 2007.
