that would be the funniest thing ever. someone could sing and their dentures would fall out. and then simon could try telling his elders they dont have talent. that would be priceless.

If you've watched American Idol, you would see that talent stopped WAY before 28.

Good question! Personally, part of the reason I love American Idol so much is...I love for young people to get a break...and I root for them every step of the way. So no, talent doesn't stop at 28...but they have many opportunities not available to the younger crowd...and more resources to do it. Personally...I don't want to see your Grandfather up there...I want to see someone just starting out... to get the exposure and the opportunity to further their career. I doubt I'd tune in for the "in-between" crowd.

Well if they had a Senior American Idol, I guess it would be from 29-40ish or maybe that is too far. But Madonna is almost 50 and she is still singing.

Of course! There are a lot of talented older people who never got their shot. It would be interesting to see what kind of older talent there is out there.

The only problem i have with what you're saying is that it means that the senior category would be from 29 years old to whatever, right? How DARE you call me a "Senior"!!! LOL!
