now 4 months after delivery i still had a bleeding and irritating when I urinated the bleeding was always red and slight. so went to the doctor. she told me that i must have torn myself during sex. I had sex after about 2 months after the delivery. the doctor is now saying that she will have to stitch me on that area if not I will bleed continuously. so i went to the doctor and she gave me two stitches. she did not put an injection to stop the pain when stitching because she said there is only a small stitch but she had to put two stitches and it was pain like hell. she said it will heal after w week. now it is exactly a week and i still have the pain. i find it hard to sit. will my stitches heal soon. i can't even think about having sex. the whole area is so painful. but i do not bleed now. when i walk and whne i sit i feel the pain. ican't go on taking pain killers coz i am breastfeeding. anyone been in this situation or have any answers for me,

please,

riyasa

Try pumping your breast milk if you need to take anything mild for the pain then you will have the breast milk ahead of the medication and have time for it to work out of your system.
LOOK AT THE FIRST SITE LISTED FOR Taking MEDS safely when breast feeding.
DO NOT HAVE SEX! What is with anyone wanting sex again after delivery? That is where all the PAIN started in the first place!

Ensure that the perineum is clean at all times. After using the toilet, take a mug of lukewarm water pour it slowly between your legs while sitting on the toilet. Urinating while bathing will help reduce the pain. After this dry gently with a soft towel. Do not use a hair dryer to dry out excess water, as it hinders healing and may infect the wound.
You can bath as and when you feel like. Use water with or without antiseptic or salt will do just as well.
You can add a little lavender oil to your bath water and have a very soothing bath.
Replace maternity pads as often as you need.
Use disposable panties or comfortable cotton panties with a high waist.
While sitting down make sure you sit on something soft.
You can try using gel pads; these can be used easily like a panty liner. These are specially made to reduce the discomfort and pain most women feel after delivering.
Try to move around as much as you can. It may be difficult and painful at first, but this will increase blood circulation, decrease swelling and speed up the healing process.
The experiences of many women suggest that taking arnica tablets reduces bruising and helps recovery. There is no research to support this fact, but you can still try it.
If pain persists in spite of these measures, you should consult a doctor. If your stitches are too tight then they will have to be redone or the doctor may give you an anesthetic cream to apply locally. Take whatever measures are required to recover comfortably and you may not suffer any unnecessary pains.

STITCH? Why don't they look at cauterising the tear(s)?
And, you're gonna have to stop any sort of sex until you're COMPLETELY HEALED.. which you have not been doing for 4 months (the healing, I mean)? I think I'd see another doctor.. 4 months is crazy! ANd, you CAN take some pain-killers while breastfeeding.. as long as you're not taking anything like NSAID's or Aspirin!
Talk to your doc and your man! NO SEX UNTIL YOU ARE COMPLETELY HEALED. OK???

go to a different doctor, she should have numbed you up before stitching. maybe it got infected. Don't have sex until it feels ok

Tell your doctor you are still having pain. If she doesn't take care of it find another doctor.
