Unclebeer is right, it was M*A*S*H* but the only reference I was able to find was that it was used once near the end in a scene with a football game...have to go back and watch that one!

The first American motion picture was M*A*S*H*, but it certainly wasn't the very first film. There's a scene toward the end of Akira Kurosawa's Ikiru (1952), where one of the mobsters says it, and I'm sure that there were other foreign films which used it.
