I RESPECT my employer tremendously. However it is currently not something I want to do for the rest of my life.

What I do like about my job is the wonderful work colleages that cheer each other on when the trenches start to get a little unconfortable and the coworkers that are always happy to see me.

It(the job) serves it's purpose. What do you think ??

I have a lot of respect for my employment with this company. I have worked there a long time. I enjoy getting up in the morning and going to work. I love my job. By the way, the employer makes suits for men. I personally feel if you respect your job, how could you not like it? Not wanting to do this particular thing for the rest of your life is a choice. This world is made up of many choices. Life is made up of many, many choices. It is up to the individual on what career he or she wishes to pursue. Whatever your choice, I respect that choice and I wish you lots of luck in your future. Thank you for you question and have a great day.

I think a little of both, but I think it's better to like your job because your're there 40 hours a week. That's a lot of time to be doing something you don't enjoy. If you're miserable and dread going to work everyday, then you probably don't respect it anyway. I've been on both sides where I've loved my job and jobs I've hated. I feel I did better work for the job I loved. The jobs I hated, I didn't really care that much. I also think that co-workers play a big role, too. These are the people that you spend most of your day with so if you don't like them, then it can make a job miserable. That's exactly what happened to me with my last job.

I think you have to like your job in order to respect it. You can like someone but not necessary respect this person or vice versa.

With my previous job, in the beginning I thought my manager was the best person in the world, and I showed a lot of respect for her, and of course, I tend to do my job better just to show how much I appreciated her. Then things got really ugly, and she turned out to be the complete opposite. Needless to say I starting hating my job and lost all respect for her and the job, and eventually it got so bad that I quit (several other people quit as well b/c they couldn't stand what a retard she was).

So once I lost that respect for her and the job, I couldn't find anything I like about staying anymore...

There are a lot of people who cannot get situated with their jobs. Enjoying you job is fine, and it is okay for you to not want that job to be the last page in your book. Typically there's usually going to be somehing wrong with your job. On the plus side, at least you get along with your coworkers. I wish I got along with my coworkers.

I believe one needs to enjoy their work ... enjoying one's job does increase the probability they will respect their employer and remain in that job for a longer period of time.

I think in the short run; respect. In the long run you must like your job or you'll be miserable.
