No matter what you do, unless you have the dogs claws surgically removed, they will damage your floors. ou will be amazed at how quickly this happens.

depends on how much you want and are willing to love the dog sounds like to me your already worrying about things that could happen if you get a dog ..... maybe you should rethink getting one ... worse things can happen other then a scratched floor.....

all dogs will scratch floors, and all my hardwood manufactures have in writing, that if u have a dog u void the warranty!
