it was so sad :(

I wasn't allowed to go to movies when I was a kid, but my grandmother snuck me out to see Bambi at the theater when I was five. Woulda been about 1962 or so... That is by a long shot my first. Didn't see another one at a theater until Cross and the Switchblade (with Erik Estrada) came out about ten years later.

My first drive-in movie was Snow White, my birthday present movie was ET, and I can only remember seeing Return of the Jedi from then on out, we saw it lots and lots of times.

My dad took me to see Bambi at the movies and we had to leave because I wailed like a mad thing when there was the thunder and lightning. I still haven't seen it through!
