This is a pretty basic physics 'concept question' to see if you understand the idea behind projectile motion and the downward acceleration due to gravity.
Since a uniform gravitational field will accelerate all object equally int he same direction, both the bullet and the monkey will accelerate downward at the exact same rate. This would mean that the drop of height of the monkey would equal the drop in height of the bullet, no mater how long each is falling (we assume a constantly equal acceleration for both objects). If the monkey should fall 1 meter, the bullet will also fall 1 meter and still hits its mark.
For this problem to work, we do not even need to take into account that either the bullet or monkey actually have a volume, we can treat them as points for all intensive purposes.
What is interesting is that although if the monkey should begin to fall as soon as the bullet is fired, the bullet will still hit,
However, if the monkey maintains its grip and does not fall, the bullet will miss....the hunter must have been planning on the monkey to let go.

Yes, if the monkey fell off due to the sound of the shot he was hit at the same time the shot was fired.
Bullets travel at near the speed of sound. It's the one you don't hear that gets you.

It would basically depend on the range from which he is shooting. Presuming a range of say about 50 feet, the hunter would be easily able to hit provided he had targeted in the central portion of the monkey.

yes. the bullet will fall at the same rate of speed as the monkey because gravity acts on all objects equally. the speed of the bullet wont matter.

Depends on the distance and the speed of the projectile. For example, an M16 fires a projectile at about 1000 m/s....so work it out.
