For only the CURRENT crisis, the U.S. needs to intervene diplomatically. The U.S. is seen as Israel's closest ally. But almost nothing will stop the wider conflict.

I think one big shock, like cutting off all foreign aid to the entire region, Israeli and Arab, to get everyone's attention and get everyone to sit at the table. Beyond that, a country that can be accepted as an honest broker by both sides.

That a large asteroid eradicates that entire region.

People over there are not willing to move on.

They keep on claiming - land that was theirs and was taken some time ago. Why can't they just move on and make better with what they have. There is always some point in time that land was not yours and you have taken it from some other race or country.
