the two things are not connected, darlin. just like a man with a vasectomy can still get a hard on, still have an orgasm. orgasms have little to do with your reproductive organs or mechanics.

having a hysterectomy can change a lot of things in your body, most of which can be controlled with medication - but the biggest hurdle is what you let your mind do to you. don't fall for the crap it will feed you about how you're not really a woman anymore because you can't make babies, or that you're not desirable. that is only your own insecurities talking, and have no basis in fact.

I've been told that life can actually be a lot better and more fulfilling after a hysterectomy. including sex and orgasms.

Absolutely. Having your uterus ( and or ovaries) removed has nothing to do with sexual response. Women have orgasms due to stimulation of the clitoris. It may even enhance a woman's pleasure because psychologically the threat of pregnancy is no longer a concern. Hormone changes can cause added dryness - but there are all sorts of lubricants etc. on the market that can take care of that.

Yes. If the ovaries are also removed acheiving orgasm can be a bit more difficult but it doesn't change much.

yes definately - and even more so - as the pain and sickness that lead up to having a hysterectomy is gone so that frees the body to relax and feel more and enjoy more.
