The Moody Blues have been my all time favorite. They were part of the British Invasion that brought the Beatles and Rolling Stones to our shores. While the Beatles and Stones were grabbing the headlines with their excesses and bad behavior, the Moody Blues were producing some of the finest pop and rock music of the past forty years.

They were the first rock band to incorporate a symphonic orchestra into their music and in 1967 produced the classic "Days Of Future Past" and the songs "Nights In White Satin" and "Tuesday Afternoon"

Still touring into the early 21st century, the Moodies have several generations of fans.

KISS - They are diverse. They can be heavy "Unholy", they can produce great ballads "Forever" and they put on the greatest show. Ace Frehley is an incredible guitarist and in the true "Top 100 list"... not the crap Rolling Stone assembled, Ace was in the Top 10. I don't even think he was mentioned in Rolling Stone.
No other band in music markets themselves the way KISS does and they sincerely want their fans to be happy... even if they are doing it for the mighty $$$.

Used to be Led Zep and the Stones. U2 threatened for a bit. Right now it's a tall ask having a fave band - there aren't any supergroups around.

Judas Priest - the best vocalist in heavy metal (and with stage presence and vocal range unparalleled), fantastic meldoies between the twin lead guitarists, a steady rhythm section.....plus some of the coolest album covers out there. What's not to like?

Cake, Sublime,Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine. I can't pick just one band. But, I can tell you my favorite artist is Warren Zevon. I love him and I miss him so, so much.

Double Trouble, because that was Stevie Ray Vaughn's band before his fatal accident, and I think SRV was the best Blues/Rock guitarist of our time.
