Sometimes we as human beings tend to forget the next person's feelings,When it comes to teenagers it is in full effect because they are really confused about their own feelings so to try to think of the next person is really hard and ahead of their time at times.
What I mean by that is that when a young person is in love they are having emotions that are new to them and do not quite understand them just yet, you will in time because from every mistake that is made a life's lesson can be learned, and with every lesson learned you will know what will hurt and what will not hurt.
Believe it or not love is one of the things in life that none of us can ever control EVER but, we all need it in our lives.
When you hurt a loved one it's not on purpose I don't think but what you do is learn from it and "try" not to hurt them, it's just one of those things in life that there is no right answer to I think.....

why do we hurt the ones we love... BECAUSE YOU ARE INCAPABLE of truly hurting people you don't love. have you ever heard the saying "you can only hurt the ones you love?"
i don't ever think we hurt people we love on purpose... they are just the ones that get the poor treatment when we are upset with the world because they are EASILY ACCESSIBLE.
teenagers are a whole different breed :)
they are struggling with their identities
they are fighting for independance (because you realize they THINK they are smarter than you all ready? !)
they know they can say they are sorry later for the things they have said and done and that parents have such unconditional love that we accept the apology with little questioning.

Usually we hurt the ones we love because we know that they will understand and continue to love us. Sometimes, you are just so hurt yourself that you don't realize what you are doing to others. Try to think about what you are doing and saying before you say it.

It's not on purpose... sometimes we just freak out and we can't hold our feelings... because that's a really hard thing to do. =) we should understand each other so we would all be happy but that's not possible...

They just want to make you jealous for no reason thats what my bf did and I know for sure that I never did anyhing to break his heart I think they do that to see if you really love them or they just like the attention Im13

Most often we don't do it intentionally. We tend to do it subconsciously because we know that they love and care for us and will forgive us. It's called unconditional love. No matter what we say or do they will love us and care for us.
