ok i was reading this Having odd dreams? Thats common! So is "nesting" behavior, though this tends to kick in strongest right before labor begins. Watch out! If you have a sudden, unbearable urge to scrub the grease from behind the stove, you may be heading for the hospital soon! so if that is true how long would you have till you were headed for labor?

There is no scientifically proven time after nesting begins that you will go into labor. Anywhere from a few weeks to several months is normal. It varies from individual to individual.

I will give you my experiences with it, though. I began nesting in the first months of pregnancy. I was three months pregnant and wanted to get everything shiny and clean for our new family addition. After the fourth month the urge went away. I was tired, my back hurt, the baby wouldn't be here for another few months, so I slacked off a bit. LOL. Last week, at 36 weeks pregnant, the urge came back in full force. I noticed dust that no one should notice without a microscope. I pulled out the couch and got out the magic eraser to clean the scuff marks off the wall. I washed every dish twice.

So basically, whenever you start nesting is normal, but it's not an indicator as to how soon labor will arrive. Rely more on your due date, your instincts, and your doctor's knowledge as an indicator. And make sure you give yourself plenty of time to prepare for baby's arrival, but still make sure that you take it easy. After all, the sleepless nights are only going to become more common once your bundle of joy arrives!

Congratulations and Good Luck!

I go thru this every second trimester in pregnancy and it will last until about two weeks before I had my kids . . I get this overwhelming desire to rearrange furniture, paint walls, etc (both of those things are not the best to do during pregnancy) . . go with it but I don't think you will go into immediate labor

I think that it is different for everyone. I was always nesting in my last month. You will know when you are going into labor, don't worry yourself.

This might sound crazy but about an hour before my water broke I was puttering around my daughter room making sure everything was in the right place.
