I've tried pushing it on, trying to guide it on, etc.
Should I take it to a shop and ask them to do it or is there a trick?
I'm really bummed.

(If it wasn't the @($*(* "S" key, maybe a ~ key, then I could deal. BUT NOT THE SSSS......

help!

Most of laptop keys are of clip on design so that you can clip it back on in case they fall off. Please check your manufactures support site for instructions on how to clip a key that has fallen off.

You should have a guide and then a pincers that hold the key togeather.

If you not able to clip it back on....you may have to buy a new keyboard !

Mmmmmmy mmmmmmmmmmmmmm fell off. I just push on it really hard every timmmmmmmmmmmme i type, hoping it will reconnect.

it should snap back on, if not you can get a new keyboard for less than 20 bucks. cheap ones are $9.99
