I think you mean Nanoscience. Nanoscience involves working with objects on a very very small scale. Recent developments in technology are allowing scientists to understand what is happening down at the molecular and atomic level.

You are probably refering to nanoscience, the science of extreemly small things. check nano as a prefix in the metric system.
