Was there not a setup cd that came with the modem? Also, if you can't find it or don't have it, go back to whatever you were using before and log intothe net. Go to the website for your cable company, etc... it's probably just a driver but look for some installation support.

You will need to get the dialing information and other things from the ISP...( Internet Service Provider )

Best way is connect device to laptop and then go to device manager - under modem you can find yellow ? mark click on that and insert software in cd-rom and give the path. Now it will detect automatically :)

go to control panel and then network connections then create a new connection and follow the wizard...if that does not work contact the cable company and have them walk you thorough the steps of set up
