Yes it is true, but sometimes you don't realize what you have learned until the years have passed and you look back and reflect on that time.

I don't think that it holds true. People can pay to take dance lessons from an instructor but you can't pay to take lessons on life.

I am not sure who sings that one, that's one way of looking at life. Another is this, Row row row your boat gently down the stream, merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily life is but a dream. I like that too.
