Why are you people trying to scare this woman!
For all of your uneducated people out there, pelvic pressure and back pain does not = get your *** to the hospital!

First of all honey, relax. Chances are you are experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions. The best thing to do is find a way to relax your body. Take a warm bath, put your feet up, watch some tube...etc.

The slight discharge is most likely your mucus plug if your haven't lost it already. I lost mine, starting losing mine around 33 weeks, and contrary to the name, it didn't just pop out. But you can walk around for weeks have Braxton Hicks contractions with no mucus plug.

When you SHOULD call your hospital:
~you have constant fluid discharge, in a gush or dribble (almost like you are urinating but it doesn't stop when you empty your bladder.)
~Your uterus begins to tighten and back pain increases with no alleviating it.
~Pelvic pressure becomes unbearable.
~Anything that should feel out of the norm for YOU.

Labor feels different for every woman. I walked around Wisconsin 3/4 cm dilated for almost a month. My water broke at home and I didn't start contracting until two hours later. It sounds ridiculous but you will know when you are in labor.

Trust your body, not what paranoid people on the net say.

I was 34 weeks when I started having the back pain and alot of pelvic pressure, I was only dialated to 1 and I was going to my Dr every week at that time, She told me to have sex well my husband was scared he would hurt me or his daughter so that didn't help so I walked and walked, I had to go through this until I was day before my due date so on October 24, 2005 My Dr induced and I had my daughter on my due date to the day October 25, 2005 she was a beautiful little girl and she weighed 7'2 and 20 3/4 long. good luck.

Some women walk around for WEEKS dilated to a 3.

Drink a big glass of water and lay down for 30 mins to 1 hour and see if they contractions stop. If they don't then you need to call your caregiver.

i am not real sure if that is labor or not, i mean you are only 34 weeks, but of course i had both mine at 35 weeks or around. i didn't actually have labor with either. i had c-sections. labor started with both but i never went further than that, breach babies...
anyway at anytime that you are concerned you should call your doctor, that is their job, to ease your worries.
good-luck to you and that baby!
