I am reading dave pelzers book the lost boy and I still have not read anything about what happens to his mother

I don't think she ever went to jail. But, I think justice was served in its own way, because she ended up miserable and alone, while Mr. Pelzer is a successful, happy person. Yes, what she did to him was horrible and illegal, but sometimes life serves justice better than the law ever can.

Kate F is correct and has really good insight. Mr. Pelzer even tried to reconcile with her. (Forgave her) He's is so worthy of our admiration! I hope the rest of his life is as good as his childhood was bad.

She died. It was in one of his later books. I can't remember which one.
