I am 16 weeks with my first too... Congratulations!!!! I am also not showing really as well. Everything I have heard and read has told me that with your first you usually dont show as early as with your later pregnancies because of the abdominal muscles being more resistant to stretching. Also, if you are carrying a little extra weight in the middle to begin with you also will tend to show a little later than others. If you havent already, I would recommend purchasing "What to Expect When You're Expecting" It has loads of info in it that first time mothers have asked... I use it as my bible right now!!!

Congratulations on your pregnancy!
When you start to show strongly depends on the strength of your abdomenal wall. During a woman's first pregnancy she might take longer to show because her abdomen and has not been stretched by previous pregnancies. With your second and third child, you will most likely show much sooner.
How soon you show has nothing to do with with the baby's growth. I can almost assure you that so long as you feel good and are eating healthy, your baby is fine.
One thing I do suggest is keeping track of these concerns so that you can ask your doctor at your next checkup. Don't ever think your question is too silly, they have heard everything:)
I would also wait on purchasing the What to Expect...book. Many doctors will give them away with a packet of information they hand out to expectant moms.

everyone if different. I found out I was 3 weeks pregnant and I showed straight away. My friend didn't show at all until she was over 30 weeks gone. It depends on where and how the baby is lying. If you are worried speak to a doctor

i did not start to show til i was around 5 months. i had a tiny pooch around 23 weeks, but soon after that i started to gain and my belly started to stick out alot!!!! after that, i couldnt hide it any more!! make sure you keep your belly moisturized with like vaseline (cocoa butter does not work) . i have recently been using vitamin E oil, it seems to be making the ones i already have seem smaller. but make sure you apply them to your hips as well as your belly. since i didnt gain anything at the beginning.. it all hit me at once, and my hips got wider and that is where i got stretch marks. also my inner thighs have little bitty ones too bc my legs got a little bit bigger and my boobs!!!!

I had the tiny baby bump like you but it wasn't until I was almost 5 months along that I really started to look pregnant. Your OB should be able to tell you if your baby isn't growing fast enough.
Good luck!

With my first child, my pants started getting tight around 4 months. I started really popping out at 6 months. With the other two, I popped out almost immediately. It varies for everyone. I'm sure your baby is growing just fine, but if you have concerns, you should talk to your OB-GYN. Congratulations!!!
