You'd be better saving your money for things you can better afford. Ipod videos are priced more for 20-somethings, not kids. At 13, your only options are paper rounds or doing paid jobs around the house. Other than that, you're too young to work. I suppose you could - if you were any good at cooking - persuade your parents to help you afford to sell cakes and things to people at a profit, but that's only a small profit for you there.

Mowing lawns but you are a girl. I don't know if that would interest you. Babysitting would be good too it might take a little longer. Do you have any toys or anything you aren't playing with anymore that your parents might help you sell on Ebay?

Start a paper route, mow lawns, bail hay, collect pop cans, wash cars. etc. you get the picture.
