Most movie critics seem to pick "Citizen Kane" although I don't know why. I certainly didn't care for it and I've seen it several times. But, I'm not a movie critic, so what do I know?
I know how to pick a movie to go watch - if the critics like it, avoid it, it's not that good....if the critics don't like it, it's going to be great!
