You may think it's hot in Texas but try being in my boots in Iraq right now. It only gets hotter too.

it's too damn hot EVERYWHERE right now
I'm up in the Great Lakes region, and man, we are getting our butts KICKED... then again, this nasty humid, need gills to breathe type weather usually descends on us a lot sooner in the season... still, this weather SUCKS
temporary remedy if you MUST venture outside... cool shower, but gradually make the water temp cooler and cooler, and when it's so cold it gives you a chill all over... wait a couple moments more, let that cold water run all over, especially your head..
lowers the core temp, maybe not much, maybe not for long, but enuf to feel like you're cooler than the air temp outside

I lived in San Antonio for 4 years...it get hot-hot-hot in Texas...if you don't like the heat, you're gonna have to get to parts of the country that are not known for it! Unfortunately, with global warming, that's getting harder to do...check it out, Pierre, SD, had an ALL-TIME RECORD of 117 yesterday with continued high temps through Wednesday!?! Their previous daily record was 106, monthly record was 113 (1989), and average temp 89...so, get used to it!

I saw your temps on the weather this AM. Unreal! I am in GA and we are right behind you with 100's in lots of cities. Even the northern states are blazing. We would freeze on the west coast. Their temps are in the 50's and 60's at night and the 70's in the day. Looking so forward to fall. m
