A USB port is the port at the back of your computer (sometimes on the front too) that takes a USB cable. A USB cable has a slim flat connection at one end which fits into the USB port. It only goes one way though so don't force it. The other end of course goes into your equipment (MP3 player, hard drive - whatever it is your plugging in) If you are using Windows XP it should automatically find the equipment - if not then you will need to install it.

Once windows has recognised it you can use it.

plug the item in usb.. and computer will find it.....
