it is calculated off the persons net worth. and goes back two years. if a person has any plan on putting someone in a home they need to plan in advance by having all the soon to be disabled's valuables in a trusting persons name, then expenses will be kept at an even pace.

I know many places will provide services for a fee to the people in there care often times more then necessary draining the account of the person they have care of.
Take care in dolling out money to the provider or they will go threw it like water. they are there to make money not break even and they will make money.

It depends on where you go for care, but at least $3000 a month currently in the midwest would not be a crazy amount.
