When I had instructions on how to use a tampon, the school nurse showed us how small the tampon was in comparison to the vagina and how it does not affect the hymen. I think perhaps you need to do an internet search on tampons or check out tampax...they'd have a frequently asked question site and you'd get more info there.

yeah lol the tampon doesn't break the skin - it just stretches it. therefore you're still a virgin.

OMG - what is this obsession? Being a virgin, suicide bombers, Heaven with virgins, there appears to be no end.
Virginity is one where you have NOT had sex. Period. (pun intended).
You could lose it by vigorous exercise, masturbation (perfectly ok, no sin in that), or sexual foreplay with fingers but no actual penis penetration.
