Yeah, sure if you want to end up in a very small cell with a good ol' Texan man named Bubba , that will teach you what NOT to do with a teenager !
Have you ever heard the word statutory ? DOH !

NO. It's statutory RAPE, which means that your 23-year-old male friend could be arrested and imprisoned for his immoral action. Also, 16-year-old girl is too young, immature and inexperienced to understand the motives of an older man.
If he really love you, then he should be willing to wait two years when you are legally 18 years old. However, he'll probably be long gone by then.

NO absolutely not.

There are Laws that vary in each state, I read that in Colorado or Utah one that a 15 yr old can marry now...this is crazy.

When she turns 18 you can legally date her, but until then morally it would be dishonored for an 16 to date a 23 yr old.
I just cheked on the age in Georgia and it is legal for a 16 yr old to consent, but still...damn that is a lowest form of Morals.

NO!! Find someone closer to your age. They don't call it 'jailbait' for nothing. You can go to jail for statuatory rape, sex with a minor and a few more things.
We just had a case like this among my daughters friends and when they threatened to call the law, their daughter got married to her 26 year old boyfriend. Is that what you want? Go from one prison to another? I would rather be out here, finding someone that will not ruin my life. Now, if you are in love, and I mean, really in love, you may want to risk it, but if you aren't and all you want is to date, then I wouldn't do it.Hope that helped you.

no, not by any means. she's jail bait depending on where they live because of statutory rape laws. she's still a child.

if he's pursuing this 16 year old girl, i wonder about his maturity level and why can't he pursue someone closer to his age.

if she's pursuing him, he's definitely playing with jail bait or a pssible a** kicking if he bites and she's playing a dangerous game. she likely isn't mature enough to handle all of the issues that go along with having sex. sex just isn't something to do.

No, it is illegal in many states as a 16 year old is considered a minor and he could be charged with statutory rape. It doesn't matter if she gave her consent or not.
